The Henry Hudson Tri-District Education Foundation’s (HHTDEF) was formed in 2014 with the mission of providing funding to support innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STE(A)M) programs in addition to supporting athletics in all Tri-District schools.  In two short years, the foundation has given out over $48,000 in grants to the schools.  Many of our schools’ innovative programs would not be possible without their support.

A few of the projects that the foundation has funded include Odyssey of the Mind programs at AHES and HHRS, Pre-K STEAM labs at HES and AHES, Garden improvements at HES and AHES, and the creation of the Genius Hour Science Club at HHRS. In addition, the HHTDEF has supported the HHRS arts program through the purchase of spotlights and the hiring of choreographers and musicians for the theater program.  They have also funded the purchase of new stools and microscopes for the Maker Space at HES.

The HHTDEF raises funds through many different activities including grant applications, special events, Admiral Supporter lawn signs, and the generous donations of sponsors and supporters.  Some current events include a raffle for a 2017 Ship Ahoy Beach Club membership, Chilifest 2016, and A Night with the New Jersey Devils.

The HHTDEF Board is made up of President Corinna Thuss, Vice President Karen Britton,  Secretary Heidi Hackett and Treasurer Linda Frasciello.  The foundation includes members from the communities of Highlands and Atlantic Highlands.
