Chromebook Warranty Program

Henry Hudson Regional has teamed up with Trinity 3 to provide our Hudson families with an option to protect their student Chromebooks in case of an accident. This program is entirely optional for you and is provided by Trinity 3. Henry Hudson Regional School does not handle the purchasing of the warranties, and the link below will take you to the Trinity 3 portal set up specifically for our student population and their school-assigned Chromebooks.

Trinity 3

How it works:

  1. Once you have bought a warranty plan, your Chromebook will be covered for repair in case of damage. This includes cracked screens, keyboard or trackpad failure, hardware-based connectivity issues, battery replacements and more.
  2. When you have a Chromebook in need of repair, drop it off to the HHRS Technology department, who will handle shipping it out to Trinity 3. During this stage, the student will be provided with a loaner Chromebook. Turnaround for repair and return is approximately 2-3 weeks.
  3. When the repaired Chromebook is returned, the student will be called down to pick it up and return the loaner Chromebook.
How to sign up for the warranty program:
  1. Go to the Trinity 3 Portal page for Henry Hudson Regional -
  2. Choose a warranty plan and checkout.
  3. You will register your Chromebook for the warranty. To do this, you will need the Chromebook's serial number, found on the bottom of the device, listed as "Service Tag". You will also need to know the model number, also found on the bottom. The newer, all-black Dell Chromebooks are the Dell Chromebook 13 3380 model, and the model with the blue edging are the Dell Chromebook 11 3180 model.
  4. Finish the checkout process and complete the payment and order. Once confirmed, your Chromebook warranty will begin.

What is the benefit of paying for the warranty service?
The warranty covers all damage, even accidental. Chromebook screens are prone to damage, such as cracked screens. A replacement screen costs $75 for the newer model, and $50 for the older Dell model. The warranty program covers screen damage, even if it happens more than once. By signing up for this warranty insurance program, you have the peace of mind of not having to pay extra for the damaged Chromebook, and saves you money in case of an accident.
